Review:
What a great psychological thriller! Tell Me You're Mine is one the most harrowing and fantastic reads I have had the pleasure of reading this past summer. The plot to this novel is one that I found both addictive and brilliantly written. I loved that it was domestic, psychological, and also kept the suspense at an all time high throughout the novel. While this one started off slowly, Noreback really takes the reigns with this novel by starting this story off with a huge revelation from one of our protagonists.
The pacing is done so effectively and kept the story flowing naturally. I kept guessing, then I would relax and just let the story flow without the intrusion of my nonstop theories. I think that's the best way to enjoy a story like this sometimes. When it comes to the ability to tell a story like this and the beautiful way that Noreback takes the reader on this emotional journey that is so psychologically suspenseful, it's easiest to just naturally go along with the story. I didn't waste anytime allowing myself to buckle my seatbelt and let Noreback take the wheel. I was excited throughout this read as the story progressed and the pacing really kicked up all the way down to the brutal and terrifying finale.
While this novel is atmospherically chilling and psychologically immersive, my favorite aspect was the characters. Told through the perspectives of three very unique and well-crafted female characters, this novel was hard not to love. Including mini-cliffhangers within their perspectives, where one storyline headed in one direction another was just beginning and that cycle was fantastic and kept me addicted throughout. It was a fantastic experience to watch these women deal with their decisions and the ramifications of others. I couldn't put this one down and gobbled it up in one sitting. Once the finale was over and I was left shocked, saddened, and shocked I am so glad that I devoted a days reading to this novel.
Special thanks to Putnam Books for this copy in exchange for my honest review.
