Review:

The Murder List by Hank Phillippi Ryan is another stunning legal thriller. There's an ominous vibe that begins with a big case and Hank weaves brilliantly between the current case and timeline and one that is from our main characters past. It was such an intricate way to tell the story and for majority of the book, I was confused and baffled at times. Not only was it addictive and compulsive, but it didn't feel like the kind of read that I really had to go to law school to comprehend what's going on. Hank does a brilliant job of telling this story and making it flow off the pages. It's the kind of novel that makes you battle yourself with trying to devour the pages and yet really cherishing each word and action.

THESE CHARACTERS are sensational to read. There is so much going on in the story that they just really shine brilliantly and swerve in and out of the lanes between good and evil. I didn't know who to trust, who had an ulterior motive, and who was innocent until the very final page. The combination  of sensational characters combined with two storylines that battled each other for a thrill-effect and the legal thriller cloud that hovers over all of it is the perfect storm.

The way this story flowed just smashed the gas pedal down on the pacing and kept me so intrigued the entire time. I actually took small breaks to revel in how much I was enjoying this story and try to process where I was at during certain times and where I thought this could go and how far these characters would go just to get what they wanted. It's cinematic, thrilling, and sensational. John Grisham, you better watch your back - Hank Phillippi Ryan is on the scene.

Special thanks to Hank Phillippi Ryan for this copy in exchange for my honest review.
